Borosilicate glass

Borosilicate glass is resistant to almost all known materials due to their high resistance to aqueous solutions of salts, organic substances, halogens (chlorine, bromine) and most acids.

Glass for liquid level indicators are made of thermally tempered borosilicate glass and are used in steam boilers at pressures up to 3.5 MPa (35 kgf / cm2), inclusive. In a special performance indicators borosilicate glass, any can be increased many times!

Glass should be colorless. Allowed a bluish, greenish or yellowish tint glass, if they do not reduce the transmittance of light. (For corrugated glass transmittance is not standardized).

Smooth glass have two equally carefully sanded and polished working surfaces. They are perfectly transparent and applied more broadly in steam boilers with nominal pressure up to 3.5 MP (without extra pads mica) in steam boilers with a pressure of 3.5-12 MPa (with mica gasket), in tanks with petrochemical products with a pressure up to 16 MPa and temperatures up to 100 degrees Celsius.
