Food couplings are used to install pipelines in industrial plants, which are subject to very strict technical and sanitary requirements. Such enterprises are not only food production: brewing, alcohol, milk, confectionery, non-alcoholic, but also pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

Couplings "TRI-CLAMP"

Tips for quick connection with clamp, used in the food industry where special hygiene requirements are required. The nozzles are made of stainless steel with a particularly flat inner surface to prevent liquid residues from entering the grooves and to prevent bacterial growth. They are commonly used in food processing for transfusion of dairy products, wine and beer, where hygiene is extremely important. They are easy to connect and disconnect and also easy to clean. Both parts of the nozzle are identical, a special seal is placed on one, which is tightly pressed against the groove of the other part, the third part - the clamp presses both parts tightly, forming a tight connection.

Of course, the hygiene requirements for boiling liquids are less important, but even in these cases, this connection has several advantages:

  • it can be quickly connected and disconnected from the brewing machine,
  • easy to clean - no threads or grooves,
  • easy to seal - no teflon tape required,
  • there are no two different parts of the connection - all parts are easily connected to each other,
  • Plug and play connectivity makes it easy to reconfigure brewing equipment.

Pressure resistance: up to 10 bar for some models, up to 16 bar for others

Working fluids: substances used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Any liquid that requires sterility and bacteria protection to carry.

Couplings "DIN 11851"

The nozzles are used directly in the food and pharmaceutical industries because they provide a perfectly smooth inner surface with a minimum of grooves. They are usually made of high quality stainless steel to prevent oxidation of the metal. Manufactured according to German manufacturing standards - DIN. The connection of the injectors is made according to the "mom-dad" principle, in which one part is inserted into another. A gasket is inserted into the "father's" attachment, against which the "mother's" part is tightly pressed, screwing the screw connecting them at the joint. The attachments are the same as the SMS attachments.

Pressure resistance: some models have different pressure resistances ranging from 10 to 40 bar.

Working liquids: various food liquids (for example: milk, brewer's yeast, wine).

Couplings "SMS"

A second type of liquid infusion attachment that is widely used in the United States but is designed in accordance with the Swedish Manufacturing Standard (SMS). The connection of the injectors is made according to the "mom-dad" principle, in which one part is inserted into another. A gasket is inserted into the "father's" attachment, against which the "mother's" part is tightly pressed, screwing the screw connecting them at the joint. The nozzles are the same as DIN nozzles.

Pressure resistance: low - 6 bar

Working fluids: various fluids for food, pharmaceutical and beverage industry.
