A breakthrough in thermal and chemical resistance, Thermiculite® High Temp materials for gaskets are rated for temperatures up to 1000ºC and have passed the fire test API 607.

Thanks to a unique recipe, we can offer Thermiculite® as a sheet material, as a filler for spiral-wound gaskets, as a filler for camprofiles, as well as in many other production lines.

Thermiculite® sealed materials withstand high temperatures in critical conditions, corrosive environments and are free of oxidation. Thermiculite® is suitable for the replacement of aramid, glass and carbon fibers, PTFE and graphite gaskets in a number of industrial applications.

Since its inception, Thermiculite gasket material has proven itself as an effective long-term sealing solution in over 500 of the most demanding industrial sealing applications—the most complete range since asbestos.

Thermiculite 715 Fiber Sheet

High-performance coreless sheet material. Provides total freedom from oxidation. Broad chemical compatibility range.  Fire safe.  Genuine opportunity for gasket standardization and inventory consolidation.  Wide service capability.

 Thermiculite 815 Fiber Sheet

High temperature sheet reinforced with a 0.004˝, 316L stainless steel tanged core. Provides total freedom from oxidation. Chemical compatibility exceeds graphite. Fire safe with proven global track record.

  • Max Temperature: 982°C (1800°F)
  • Max Pressure: 2900 psig (200 bar) (Class 150–300)

Thermiculite® 866/866LS Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

Thermiculite® 866 and 866LS has been exclusively developed for use in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC)  where the primary sealing material requirements are low stress sealing, electrical isolation, non-contaminating and complex gasket geometry.

Thermiculite® 896 Laminated Sheet

High temperature sealing material based on a blend of thermally and chemically exfoliated vermiculite bonded to a flat 316 stainless steel reinforcing core. It offers outstanding levels of gas tightness when tested in accordance with German clean air regulations

  • High temperature sealing performance in excess of 1000°C
  • Full vacuum to 150 bar
